We also examine the incoming electricity supply and fuse box ratings before adding the heating equipment. ### What happens before the old heater comes out? We disconnect the heating supply before removing the old appliance's electrical connections. During storage heater replacement, we dismantle the old unit and examine its wiring. ### How is the new radiator fixed and wired? We connect its wires at a suitable nearby outlet or fused spur, a fixed electrical connection containing a fuse. ### What checks finish the heating installation? We check earthing, the protective connection that carries current during an electrical fault. We check that each wire reaches the correct terminal and test the parts that produce heat and regulate temperature. ## Questions about electric heating for Battersea properties ### Do you fit electric radiators and replace storage heaters in Battersea? We fit electric radiators and replace storage heaters in Battersea. Our heating installations also include electrical heating mats beneath the floor. ### What happens at my property after booking electric heating installation? We begin the installation visit by examining the electrical demand and the heater's mounting position. We fit and wire the heater with its supply disconnected, then check the finished heating operation. ### Does a more powerful radiator need different wiring? The radiator's electrical demand determines whether its existing connection is suitable. Higher power heaters need wiring that supports their continuous demand, including a separate cable from the fuse box where required. ### What needs checking when replacing a storage heater? We examine the replacement heater's wall supports and electricity supply controls. We test the existing cables after disconnecting the old unit. ### Can I control the temperature in each room? Modern electric radiators let you set temperatures separately for individual rooms.
