Installation follows with electricity disconnected, then we test the wiring and explain the shower switch. ### What determines the shower cable size? The shower's power demand determines the cable size and electrical protection it needs. We examine the existing supply at the consumer unit, the fuse box controlling electricity to the property's wiring. ### How does the bathroom layout affect fitting? The distance from the bath or shower determines the water protection needed for each fitting. We examine the intended lighting positions and the spaces through which the shower cable will pass. ### What happens when the bathroom wiring is fitted? We disconnect electricity before installing the cable and fastening the electrical connections. We fit a double pole isolator, a switch that disconnects both wires carrying the shower supply. ### What checks finish the shower connection? We test earthing, the protective connection that carries electrical fault current, and measure the operation of the safety switches. We restore electricity after testing and show you how the shower's disconnecting control works. ## Electric shower fitting and bathroom wiring questions ### Can you connect a shower and fit bathroom lights in Fulham? A higher powered shower needs cables and a protective switch sized for its greater current demand. We examine those parts of the existing installation before connecting the replacement. ### Can I buy the shower appliance and bathroom lights myself? You can provide the appliance and lights for us to install. The shower's electrical rating and each light's resistance to water determine the connections and positions needed. ## Other services in Fulham - [Electrician in Fulham](https://belloelectricsltd.co.uk/electrician-fulham): Electrician in Fulham for circuit repairs, rewiring, electrical inspections and new fittings.
